Netox Oy is a specialist company focused on cybersecurity and IT services in Finland.Glesys’ infrastructure provides a reliable foundation for Netox’s own IT service delivery. For Netox, it is critical to work with partners who meet both their own and their customers’ stringent technical and security requirements.

A Long-Term Partnership Built on Customer Needs

The collaboration began in Pori data center, originally operated by Ficolo and acquired by Glesys in 2026.

Initially, the focus was on colocation and connectivity services. Over more than 10 years, the partnership has evolved from a single data center solution into a strategic collaboration enabling the delivery of secure and scalable IT environments.

From the beginning, the partnership has been driven by customer needs—a principle that continues to guide the collaboration today. Netox has scaled from a single data center setup to utilizing multiple Glesys data centers.

“We always start from the customer’s needs and requirements. With Glesys, we can build highly flexible solutions depending, for example, on whether the customer has supply security requirements or handles classified data,” says Antti Lahokoski, Managing Consultant at Netox.

Netox leverages Glesys’ colocation, network, and IaaS services to build both shared environments and fully dedicated, customer-specific setups, as well as distributed and resilient architectures. Connectivity to public cloud environments has also been implemented for end customers.

On top of this infrastructure, Netox builds its own service layer, delivering fully managed, end-to-end solutions.

Security and Continuity as a Foundation

Netox is a frontrunner in Finland in securing and maintaining business- and safety-critical systems. Security and service continuity are at the core of its operations.

As a result, partner selection places strong emphasis on security, certifications, and audit readiness. Netox has high requirements for its infrastructure partners, such as:

  • High security standards (physical and information security)
  • High availability and resilience
  • Regulatory compliance (e.g. Katakri, NIS2)
  • Scalable infrastructure for future needs (including hybrid and AI readiness)

“We act as a strategic partner to our customers, so we expect the same from our own partners. Glesys meets our requirements in terms of security, availability, and continuity management,” Lahokoski explains.

Working with security-critical customers requires not only comprehensive documentation and certifications, but also proven operational continuity.

“Glesys’ services are, for example, Katakri audited and ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 certified. This significantly facilitates working with security-critical customers. We can confidently present the full service chain certifications or support customer-specific audits,” says Markku Penttilä, Senior Manager at Netox.

Broad and Flexible Collaboration

The cooperation between Netox and Glesys spans the entire customer lifecycle, particularly in larger engagements—from initial proposals and solution design to implementation, migrations, and ongoing service delivery.

“The collaboration is close and practical across multiple areas. Glesys’ experts are easily and quickly reachable through agreed processes and continuously evolving practices. They are very easy to work with, and their expertise brings significant added value to both us and the end customer,” Penttilä describes.

Shared Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is another shared priority. For Netox, it is important to work with companies that actively promote sustainable development. “Glesys’ use of 100% renewable energy helps us manage our own emissions. In addition, their environmental reporting simplifies our own reporting processes,” says Lahokoski.

Looking Ahead: International Growth

Netox aims to expand internationally, and the partnership with Glesys plays a key role in enabling this.

“As we expand internationally, we can leverage Glesys’ data centers, extensive Nordic data center network, and robust backbone network. This allows us to scale our services beyond Finland with a trusted partner,” Lahokoski concludes.
