What's the price for GleSYS Object Storage?

The price is €0.06 /GB per month up to 500 TB. We can offer a lower price per GB if you need to store more then 500 TB. Please contact us for a quote.

What do I pay for?

You only pay for the storage you actually use. We charge no extra fees for bandwidth, number of API calls or transferred data.

Can I use GleSYS Object Storage to serve static websites?

Unfortunately it's not possible to serve static websites using GleSYS Object Storage, but it's a service we plan to offer in the future.

What protocol does GleSYS Object Storage use?

GleSYS Object Storage use the HTTP protocol with a REST-based API (the S3 API).

Is my data stored redundantly?

Your data is stored locally redundant in our data center in Stockholm. It's stored on redundant hard drives in a file storage cluster.

Does GleSYS Object Storage support geo-redundant storage?

Currently we only support local redundant storage (LRS). Our plan is to offer redundant storage in more data centers in the future.

Is the data in my buckets stored encrypted?

Data in your byucket is not ecrypted when accessed via the S3 protocol.

The data is always encrypted when stored on the servers ("at rest"). If a server or harddrive, hypothetically, would get lost the data will not be able to be read.

You can encrypt you files yourself using PGP/GPG or use a client with support for Server Side Encryption with Customer-provided encryption keys (SSE-C) SSE-C med Ceph Object Gateway

Do you backup stored files?

Files are not backed up. But the data is stored on redundant disks in a storage cluster.
