Understanding users, organizations, and projects in GleSYS Cloud

Your user account

The GleSYS Cloud is built around you and your personal user account. With your account, you can manage key actions such as adding payment cards, changing passwords, and creating API keys.

You can also enhance your account's security by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA). We support both Google Authenticator and YubiKey for 2FA.

Organizations

Organizations in GleSYS serve as central hubs for all contact information and invoices. Every invoice is issued in the name of the organization, though an organization can also represent an individual.

An organization always has at least one owner.

Owners and Collaborators

As an organization owner, you have the ability to invite other users to join your organization. Once a user accepts your invitation, they become a collaborator in the organization. You can easily configure each collaborator's permissions or even designate them as co-owners if needed.

For instance, you could invite a consultant who only requires server access for a specific project, or grant the finance department access exclusively to invoices without giving them administrative control over servers. As the owner, you retain complete control over the organization.

Owners have unrestricted access and permissions within the organization, including the ability to create new projects.att skapa nya projekt.

Projects

In GleSYS, all services are organized under what we call Projects. Each project contains resources such as servers, domains, load balancers, and other services.

You can, for example, create separate projects for production environments, lab environments, or even for different clients.

As the owner of an organization, you have the ability to create multiple projects within the organization, allowing for streamlined management of various environments and teams.
